Mrs. Annie Moore passed away on January 17, 2026. A respected member of her community, Mrs. Moore dedicated her life to her family and friends, embodying the values of kindness, compassion, and service.
Mrs. Annie Moore was born in Caulton, AL, on March 27, 1953, to Rufus and Bessie Mae Barton. She was 1 of 8 siblings; 6 brothers and 1 sister. Her family ran a local growery and convenience store during her childhood. The family was also known for crafting dresses and selling out. Some of her loved hobbies were tagging along for a fishing trip, camping, and sewing.
Her niece, Kay, was her best friend and was only 2 years apart. During her high school years, Annie sold Mary Kay and became the top salesman in the region. During a vacation in her early 20's to Pensacola with Kay, they had given a ride to a local fisherman to the pier by the name of Mike Moore. Love blossomed, and was blessed to celebrate 50 years of marriage. To this union, 2 sons were born: David and John Michael.
Mrs. Annie Moore was a phenomenal wife, mother, and friend. She had the most caring, genuine, and giving heart that you could ever encounter, and never expected anything in return. She will be greatly missed by all and forever loved.
Mrs. Annie Moore is preceded in death by her parents, Rufus and Bessie Mae, all her siblings, Bart, Wayne, Joel-David, Mary Katherine, Jimmy Neal, Lea Lewis, and Ray, and her son, David Michael Moore.
Mrs. Annie Moore leaves to cherish her sweet memory: her husband, Mike Moore, her son, John Micheal Moore, 1 grandchild, Toby Tidmore, and a host of family and friends.
Her legacy will be honored with a family viewing scheduled for January 27, 2026, at the Northport location, 5404 Watermelon Rd, Northport, AL 35473, from 3 PM to 5 PM. Subsequently, a funeral service will be held on January 27, 2026, at Gilgal Baptist Church, located at 3000 Bear Creek Rd, Duncanville, AL 35456, beginning at 1 PM with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Moore's contributions to those around her will be remembered fondly, as her spirit continues to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her.
