Northport Funeral & Cremation Service family extends our warmest condolences and heartfelt sympathies to the family of Ms. Betty Sue Faulkner. Ms. Faulkner passed away on Wednesday, May 1, 2024 in Tuscaloosa, AL.

Betty Sue was an amazing mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was a member of Bethel Presbyterian Church in Northport, AL. She enjoyed reading her bible and interceding in prayer for anyone she met; a “prayer warrior” indeed.

Betty Sue loved her trips to the library. During her children’s childhood, she planned frequent trips to the library with them to share her love for reading and to instill in her sons the importance of reading. She also enjoyed traveling and collecting tea pots and coffee mugs.  

Betty Sue is preceded in death by her father, Julian Hamner; mother, Minnie Malone; stepmother, Bay Boyd Hamner; sister, Francis Hamner; brothers, Ellis Hamner, Beatty Hamner; and son, Mark Faulkner.

She leaves to cherish her memories; her sons, William (Lisa) Faulkner and Dennis (Paula) Faulkner; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. A host of nieces and nephews.  

John 14:27: "Peace, I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”
