Northport Funeral & Cremation Service family extends our warmest condolences and heartfelt sympathies to the family of Mr. Danny Hartley, who passed away on Monday, April 6th, 2026, in Tuscaloosa, AL.
Born to Vell Hartley Jr. and Netta M. Hartley, Danny was a devoted son and brother. He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Vell Hartley Jr. and Netta M. Hartley, as well as his brother, Ronald Gene Hartley. Additionally, he was mourned by his late father-in-law, Richard Jennings, and mother-in-law, Betty Jennings.
Danny's family was central to his life. He is survived by his sons, Blake Jennings Hartley and his wife Kaleigh, and Brock Jennings Hartley and his wife Haley. His devotion to his family extended to his grandchildren, Evelyn Hartley, Beau Hartley, and Baker Hartley, who brought him immeasurable joy. He also leaves behind his sister, Gayle Hartley Turner, and her husband Perry.
Mr. Danny Clay Hartley will be remembered as a man whose creativity, warmth, and spirit left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. Highly creative, colorful, and endlessly resourceful, Danny had a unique gift for transforming even the simplest things into something truly remarkable-he could make a mile of nothing look amazing.
Mr. Hartley was also a natural storyteller, able to capture any room with his humor and charm. His stories, perhaps exaggerated just a little, brought laughter and joy to all who listened. Danny carried a light about him; he was always smiling, always kind, and never spoke poorly of anyone. To know him was to have a loyal friend.
Above all, Danny was a devoted family man. He was a loving son, brother, uncle, father, and grandfather who cherished his family and friends with all of his heart. His love was genuine, steady, and deeply felt by those closest to him.
Danny also possessed a distinct and remarkable eye for color and design. His talent for decorating, whether working with beautiful antiques or creating something entirely new, was a reflection of his vivid imagination and God-given creativity. His work brought beauty into the lives and homes of many.
Danny's legacy is one of kindness, laughter, creativity, and love. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
