Johnny was a hardworking businessman whose entrepreneurial spirit and dedication to his community left a lasting impact. For more than 30 years, he proudly owned and operated C&S Auto in Columbus, Mississippi, where he built countless friendships and earned the trust of generations of customers. Over the years, he also owned and operated Columbus Farm & Garden and C&S Timber Resources, pouring his heart into every business venture with the same determination and work ethic that defined his life.
Outside of work, Johnny found his greatest joy in the outdoors and in the company of those he loved. In his younger years, he enjoyed racing and spent countless nights fishing the Tennessee River. He had a lifelong passion for coon hunting and looked forward each year to attending World Coon Hunts with his family and friends. Even when he wasn’t traveling to a hunt, Johnny was happiest walking the woods behind the family home with his beloved coon dogs, making memories that will forever be treasured by those who shared those nights with him. Whether he was working, enjoying the outdoors, or spending time with family, Johnny lived with a generous heart, a strong spirit, and an unwavering devotion to the people he loved.
Johnny was preceded in death by his mother, Evalette Faulkner (Jimmy Wayne); his father, Edward Lee “Bo” Swink (Elaine); his father-in-law, James Chain; his maternal grandparents, Houston and Ruby Zell Strickland; and his paternal grandparents, Walter and Velma Swink.
Johnny is survived by his beloved wife of 44 years, Robbie Swink; one daughter, Anna Shaw (Walker); two sons, Brooks Swink and Cody Swink; one sister, Shonda Browning (Harold); one brother, Christopher Faulkner; and his cherished grandchildren, Baylee Swink, Krystin Swink, Brody Swink, Ella Swink, Remi Swink, Raylee Shaw, Ryder Shaw, and Rosie Shaw.
Though Johnny’s earthly journey has come to an end, the memories he created, the values he instilled, and the love he shared will remain in the hearts of his family and friends forever. His legacy of faith, perseverance, and devotion to those he loved will continue to inspire all who were blessed to know him.
The compassionate, sympathetic, and professional team at Northport Funeral & Cremation Service has been entrusted with Mr. John Swink's arrangements.
