Mr. Michael Lee Jordan

Northport Funeral & Cremation Service family extends our warmest condolences and heartfelt sympathies to the family of Mr. Michael Lee Jordan, who passed away on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, in Alabama.

Michael Lee Jordan, age 55, of Tuscaloosa, passed away on October 8th, 2025, near his home in Fosters, Alabama.

Michael was preceded in death by his father, Peyton Lee Jordan; his mother-in-law, Mary Ann Barton Wood; and his Grandparents, Christine and James L. Chancy, as well as Louise and John R. Jordan.

He is survived by his mother, Christy Chancy Jordan; his brother, Terry Jordan; his loving wife, Paige Jordan; and his daughter, Kayla Jordan. He also leaves behind three sisters-in-law and a large, loving family filled with aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins who meant the world to him.

Michael graduated from Central High School in 1989 and went straight to work. He began his career with the City of Tuscaloosa, where he mastered the art of operating heavy equipment. His dedication and determination eventually led him to start his own business, Jordan Utilities. What began with small jobs quickly grew, thanks to his strong work ethic and high standards.

Michael took great pride in his craft. If his name was on it, it had to be done right. He was known as both a hardworking employee and a fair, dependable boss. He always made sure his workers were taken care of, even when times were slow, and he never hesitated to help someone who was in need.

Outside of work, Michael’s heart was with his family. He devoted himself to caring for his mother—checking on her often, helping with chores, or just stopping by to talk.

He had a soft spot for animals—dogs, cats, fish, birds, a goat named Billy, you name it, he cared. He loved cooking big meals, and after a good plate of food, you could usually find him sound asleep in his recliner with a dog in his lap or around his neck.

Michael enjoyed Alabama football. He also loved the game of softball, especially the years he spent coaching his daughter’s team. He enjoyed being out on the field. Those times brought him a lot of pride and good memories that he carried with him.

Michael was loyal, he was as funny as he was intense. He loved hard and at times was hard to love. He was wild as the wind, he made mistakes, good decisions, & bad. He owned them all. He was well loved, and will be missed.
