Cleburn Wesley Oliver, age 84 of Northport, AL, formally of Albertville, AL, passed away on August 15, 2023 surrounded by his family at Hospice of West Alabama.
He was preceded in death by his parents, G.O. and Dora Oliver; brother, GV Oliver; and sister, Affarine Holsonback (Alford).
Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Joyce Bennett Oliver; daughter, Carla Peacock (Charlie) of Tuscaloosa, AL; son, Bennett Oliver (Julie) of Atlanta, GA; daughter, Alicia Smith (Tyson) of Charleston, SC; and sister-in-law, Betty Jo Oliver. Papa loved his Grandchildren, Austin Peacock, Anderson Peacock (Anna), Trevor Leithauser, Lennon Leithauser, and Bailey Oliver; Great grandchildren, Collins Peacock and Audrey Peacock.
Visitation will be held at Mount Calvery Baptist Church, at 1:00 pm on Sunday, August 20, 2023 with a Celebration of life service following at 2:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of West Alabama or Mount Calvery Baptist Church.
Compassionate, sympathetic, and professional service has been entrusted to the hands and care of the Northport Funeral & Cremation Service Professional Team.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all attendees of services and visitations are required to wear a mask and attempt to maintain 6ft social distancing.
