Mr. Cliffton Jones, born on July 31, 1986, in a world full of potential and dreams, passed away on February 28, 2026. He lived a life marked by commendable dedication and unwavering commitment, particularly exemplified through his service in the United States Marine Corps.

Mr.Cliffton was born and raised in Michigan, mainly in Southwest Detroit. He enjoyed playing a multitude of video games and sports in his youth. He confessed his life to Christ during his youth at the Fellowship of Love MBC, under pastor James Jackson, where he served as an usher and on the choir. He graduated from Western International High School in June 2004. A few years later, he went on to join the United States Marine Corps, of which he served faithfully for the next 8 years of his life, throughout two deployments.

Cliffton married his long-time girlfriend Norma Estremera during his enlistment on March 24th of 2008. He and Norma went on to have three beautiful daughters over the next 15 years.

Cliffton was always a dedicated employee and dedicated to providing for his family. He was honorably discharged from military service in June of 2015 and went on to attend both the Technical College of the Low Country, as well as ECPI University, to obtain multiple associate's degrees while also maintaining employment in the state of South Carolina, where he and his family were residing.

Toward the end of his life, Cliffton moved his wife and children to Gordo, Alabama, where they enjoyed their largest and comfiest home yet, lots of land, and a pool. He traveled back and forth to work in Tuscaloosa and was generally respected, admired, and loved by many people in his life.

Cliffton was preceded in death by both of his fathers, Terrence Jones and Walter Holmes, as well as his older brother, Terrence Jones Jr.

He leaves behind his beloved wife, Norma Jones, their daughters, SkyLyn, Sofia, and Melody Jones, and a son, Jamar Bowers. Also left behind to cherish his memory is his mother, Vicki Holmes, brothers, Jeremy Jones, Dondre Burroughs, Walter Holmes Jr., Darius Holmes, sisters, Christina Gyst, Talonda Jones, Tranessa Burroughs, Alicia Frazier, Yolanda Holmes, Vicky Counts; his niece/Goddaughter, Ta'Mia Jones; her sister, Ayanna Jones, and a multitude of extended family and friends.

Mr. Cliffton Jones will be having a Celebration of Life service on Thursday, March 12, 2026, at NFCS located at 5404 Watermelon Road, Northport, AL 35473, with a 2-hour layout from 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM, followed by the service at 2:00 PM - 3:30 PM.

Compassionate, sympathetic, and professional service has been entrusted to the hands and care of the Northport Funeral & Cremation Service Professional.
