Mr. Cornell Heath

Northport Funeral & Cremation Service family extends our warmest condolences and heartfelt sympathies to the family of Mr. Cornell Heath. Cornell Heath (91) passed away in Tuscaloosa on September 5, 2023.

Cornell was born on August 4, 1932 in Wynn, Arkansas to Shufus and Johnnie Mae Heath. 
Cornell retired from Tuscaloosa Steel in 1999 where he worked as a pipe fitter and a master welder for many years. 

He enjoyed plumbing, carpentry, fishing, and sharing stories about life with anyone and everyone he crossed paths with. Stories that always created laughter. 

Cornell loved singing in the gospel choirs for many years. He joined Piney Grove Baptist Church under the late Pastor O.L. Morgan. 

Cornell is survived by his wife of many years Mary Redman Heath, his brother Pete (Mary) his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.  Children Harriett (Bridgett, LaToya, Kenesha, Jermill), Gail (Leonna), Regina (Aariana, Aaliyah, Aarynn), Julian “Tike” (Imani, Justus), Covito(LaShondria- Saniah, Micaiah, Amaris), Prentice (Prentice, Milania, Giovanna, Preston). 

Visitation for Mr. Heath will be held on Thursday, September 14, 2023, from 1:00pm-5:00pm at Northport Funeral & Cremation Service Chapel in Northport, AL.

Funeral service will be held at Northport Funeral and Cremation on Friday, September 15, 2023, at 11:00 am.

Burial will be at Cedar Oak Memorial Park immediately following services, 1401 Mimosa Park Rd Tuscaloosa, AL 35405.
