Mr. Ward passed on Wednesday, November 27, 2019, in Vance, Alabama. 74 year old David Henry Ward of Vance, Alabama passed away Wednesday at his residence. He was a member of New Beginnings Full Gospel and was a home repairman operating Ward’s Home Improvement. The funeral will be Monday at 11 a.m. at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Bobby Simmons will officiate and burial will be in DeKalb Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Sunday from 3-7 p.m. and Monday from 10 a.m. until the service at 11 a.m. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carlos and Ruth Murphy Ward and a sister, Dorothy Turner. Survivors include his wife, Marcia Simmons Ward of Alabama. Five daughters, Vickie and Keith McKelney of South Carolina, Sherry Young of South Carolina, Kimberly and Chad Simmons of Louisiana, Janelle and David Carr of Florida, and Cheyenne Webb of Alabama. Six sons, David Wayne and Kim Ward of South Carolina, James Ward of South Carolina, Chris Ward of Louisiana, Bobby and Tracy Webb of Alabama, Jonathan and Kim Webb of Alabama, and Easton Webb of Alabama. Several grand and great grandchildren. A brother, George “Buck” and Donna Ward of Smithville. Two sisters, Joann and Tim Bradford and Bootsie and Shannon Cash of Smithville.
