On Monday, March 6, 2023, George Myrick (Sam), a beloved Husband, Dad, PaPa, went to be with the Lord, in Northport, Alabama surrounded by his family. He was 75.

Born to Grady and Edna Myrick in Laurel Ms. September 13, 1947, Sam enlisted in the Navy after high school where he honorably served our country, while in Washington Dc he met Louise, who became his wife. They were married for nearly fifty-four years and they have 4 sons, grand children and great grand children.

Sam enjoyed playing the guitar, singing and listening to music. He also enjoyed getting together for cook outs and holidays with family especially grand and great grand children. He enjoyed NASCAR, NFL and Alabama Football. He was a devoted husband, dad and PaPa who was greatly loved and will be dearly missed however he will always be remembered.

 He is survived by his wife, Louise, sons Sammy (Traci) Myrick, Mike Myrick, Doug Myrick, Danny Myrick, also his sisters Hazel and Barbara, brother Paul, several nephews and nieces.

He was proceeded in death by parents Grady and Edna Myrick, brothers David and Haskel, sisters Audrey and Elizabeth.

Services will held at Northport Funeral & Cremation Service viewing will be from 2 until 3 for family and friends with service at 3. Followed by a cook out and celebration of life at Sam and Louise's house.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all attendees of services and visitations are required to wear a mask and attempt to maintain 6ft social distancing.
