Northport Funeral & Cremation Service family extends our warmest condolences and heartfelt sympathies to the family of Mr. Joe Damon Perry.

Joe Damon Perry, 58, passed away on December 21, 2020 surrounded by his loving family. Graveside service will be held by Northport Funeral and Cremation Service at Sunset Funeral Home on Thursday, January 7th at 2:00 pm with Reverend John Vaughan and Elder Jacob West officiating.

Joe is survived by his wife of 27 years, Stacy Walker Perry, Son, Matthew Wolfenbarger and wife, Katie Wolfenbarger, Daughter, Ashley Perry, two grandchildren, Erabella and Bo Wolfenbarger, his Mother, Gayle Fleming, and his best friend, Rodney Sanders.

Joe was a kind man who loved his family and tried to see the good in all people and all situations. The advice he consistently gave his children was “do right and good things will happen” and “two wrongs don’t make a right.” Although he is no longer here with us, his battle was not lost. He is saving a place for us.

Pallbearers will be Rodney Sanders, Larry Miles, Justin Evans, Dennis Walker, Mike Walker, Matt Gray and Eric Wolfenbarger.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Pastors, Staff and Congregation at One Hope Church and all Women’s Circles, especially the “GIFT Girls.”, Dr. Robert Honea and Lauren Haney, CRNP and staff of Tuscaloosa Primary Care, Dr. Jeanne P. Lipscomb and staff of Comprehensive Sleep and Breathing Disorders Center, Dr. Shelby Sanford and Dr. Chukwuma Ndibe and staff of The Cancer Care Center of Tuscaloosa, University Lands and Real Estate Services, The University of Alabama, Donna Smith and Jeremy Fikes with The Monfore Group.

Compassionate, sympathetic, and professional service has been entrusted to the hands and care of the Northport Funeral & Cremation Service Professional Team.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the mandated regulations with the state of AL, all attendees of services and visitations are required to wear a mask and attempt to maintain 6ft social distancing.
