On July 23rd at 5:30 PM, Johnny William Overstreet passed away after bravely battling Glioblastoma. He died peacefully, surrounded by his daughters Ariel and Haley Overstreet. Johnny, who is often known as “Indian” or “Chief”, was 58 years old. He was born on June 8th, 1968 and raised in Vancleve, Mississippi. Although he was a LSU fan, he called Coker, Alabama his home. He was the hardest working man you would have met. He was a kind man with a tough, no-nonsense attitude. When not working, he enjoyed spending his time hunting, fishing, and shooting with friends. The family wants to thank the staff of Fayette Medical Center Long Term Care Unit and Access Hospice for the exceptional care they provided.
