The Northport Funeral & Cremation Service family extends our deepest condolences and heartfelt sympathies to the family and friends of Mr. Lewis Jerry Jennings, who passed away on May 30, 2026, in Gordo, AL.
Mr. Jennings was in the National Guard as a young man. Later he worked as an insurance salesman for some time earlier in his life, then transitioned into the agricultural industry, where he worked as a logger, dairyman, and farmer.
He was preceded in death by his father, Daniel Lamar Jennings, mother, Naomi Hicks-Jennings, inlaws, Earfie and Ruth Leonard, as well as (LB) Will and Willie Hicks, his grandfather , Harvey Jennings and his wife, Mary, his sister, Ann and her husband, Arnold Moore, sister, Helen and her husband, Jimmie Ballard, brother, Glenn Jennings & his wife, Becky.
Left behind to cherish his memory is his wife, Doris Leonard-Jennings, daughter, Rhonda Jennings-Mays and her husband, Mike, son, Daniel Jennings and his wife, Becki, son, Mark Jennings and his wife, Wendy, grand daughter, April and her husband, Michael Conklin, granddaughter, Amber and her husband, Johnny Robison, grandson, Ryan Mays and his wife, Allison, grandson, Stephen Mays and his wife, Whitney, granddaughter, Madison and her husband, Cody Boyles, grandson, Caleb Jennings and his fiance, Carleigh Cameron, grandson Adam Tate and wife Teressa. And many great grandchildren who loved and knew him as their "pa pa".
Mr Jennings had 3 living siblings; brother James Jennings wife Ann, brother Roger Jennings wife Connie. And brother Doyle Jennings wife Charlotte.
Service for Mr. Jennings will be graveside Thursday, June 4, 2026,11 a.m., at Fellowship Baptist Church, located at 2127 Reform Gordo Road, Reform, AL 35481.
The family would like to think everyone who spent their time caring for Daddy as he declined. Especially Ashley Mann his favorite caregiver who loved and spoiled him. And Enhibit Hospice for their excellent care.
The compassionate, sympathetic, and professional services of the Northport Funeral & Cremation Service team have been entrusted to care for Mr. Jennings' arrangements.
