Northport Funeral & Cremation Service family extends our warmest condolences and heartfelt sympathies to the family of Mr. Marion Ball.

Marion Ball was born on November 12, 1966 in Pickensville AL to the late Simon and Lela M Ball. He is one of seven children born. Marion attended Carrollton High School. He confessed Christ at an early age and joined Beebe Chapel CME Church, where he later joined the Layman’s board.

Marion was active in the community coaching football and baseball to kids. Football was his passion. He was known as “Coach Ball“ to many. He loved construction, especially making his prized decks, gazebos and tables . Marion also served in the United States Army which included serving time in Desert Storm. He was ranked as a SPC E4 and was honorably discharged.

Marion was a giant but a kitten at heart. He never met a stranger.

On Wednesday, March 23, 2022, he was called home.

Marion is preceded in death by his parents Simon and Lela M. Ball, his two sisters, Linda Verizzani and Genista (Quita) Ball. He leaves to mourn his passing, two daughters, Neresha Ball of Cleveland OH and Tiyanna Conner of Pickensville, AL., five grandchildren, Hazel Ball, Karter Rimmer, TiAundria Conner, DeAndrae Conner, Xzavier Conner.
Two sisters, Patricia Johnson of Winston-Salem NC and Felicia Ball of Pickensville AL. Two brothers, Jonathan Ball(Patricia) of Pickensville AL, Michael Ball (Dianna) of Winston-Salem NC. His Nieces and Nephews included VerNita LaShay Ivy, Jocelyn Crowell, LeTisha Pierce, Steffania Verizzani, Malia Verizzani, Dwayne Ijames, Corey Ball, Coriya Washington, Bryant Spencer, Janson Harris. And a host of great nieces and nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.

Message of Gratitude
The family would like to express our sincere appreciation for the kindness shown during our loss. We thank everyone for their prayers, words of encouragement, and extended services.

Visitation for Mr. Ball will be on Friday, April 1st from 3pm-5pm at Northport Funeral & Cremation Service Reform Chapel in Reform, AL. Graveside service will be Saturday, April 2nd at 11am at Beebe Chapel Cemetery (Old Columbus Rd) in Pickensville, AL.

Compassionate, sympathetic, and professional service has been entrusted to the hands and care of the Northport Funeral & Cremation Service Professional Team.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all attendees of services and visitations are required to wear a mask and attempt to maintain 6ft social distancing.
