Sergeant First Class Michael Steven Davis, a proud veteran of the United States Military, passed away on April 23, 2023, at DCH Regional Hospital in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, at the age of 57. He was born on December 28, 1965, in Birmingham, Alabama. He was the son of late Shirlyn Anne Estridge (mother) and Frank Lisco Davis ( father). Michael cherished his family above all else, he was a devoted husband to his wife, Maylene Davis, and a loving father to his three children: Michelle Davis, Micha Davis, and Michael Davis Jr. His siblings were: Frank Davis(deceased) Nina Albritton (husband Sylvester Albrittion), Korine Davis, Doreen Gerber. He attended Tuggle Elementary School and Hayes High School (Class of 1984), in Birmingham Alabama.
Michael served his country with honor for 30 glorious years, receiving multiple citations and awards for his achievements and outstanding performance in combat training, counseling, and recruitment. He did tours of duty in Germany, Saudi Arabia, Iraq (Desert Storm and Desert Shield) and South Korea.
Michael will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, but his legacy will live on through the many lives he touched throughout his lifetime of service and dedication.
