Northport Funeral & Cremation Service family extends our warmest condolences and heartfelt sympathies to the family of Mr. Michael Neal Smith. 

Michael Neal Smith, 59 of Tuscaloosa passed away on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, at home. Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 14, 2024 at 9AM Cross Pointe Church of Tuscaloosa. Funeral services will immediately follow at 11AM Cross Pointe Church and will be officiated by Freddy Williams. Interment will follow from Memory Hill Gardens.

Mike was born July 7, 1965 to John W. and the late Mary Sue Smith. He was a wonderful husband, father, and Paw paw. 

Mike is survived by his wife of 36 years, Dawn Stokes Smith; son Marshall (Erin) Smith; daughter Morgan (Adam) Sutton; grandchildren Berkley Sutton, Silas Smith, Karson Sutton; brother Rodney (Belynda) Smith; nephews Chase (Taylor) Smith and Parker Smith.

Mike loved his family immensely. He made a career of being an electrician. 

He worked several years in many different professions including Carpenter, Painter, Electrician and skilled handy man. He was a jack of all trades and could do anything he put his mind to. He never met a stranger and was always willing to meet other’s needs. He lived life to the fullest and loved spending time with family. 

Serving as Pallbearers will be Ken Ruffin, Bruce Lowe, John Gregory, Kevin Moore, Majihus Wells, Chris Crowder, Brett Chambless and Cary Ferguson.
