Age: 64
Northport Funeral & Cremation Service family extends our warmest condolences and heartfelt sympathies to the family of Mr. Randall Woods.
Randall T. Woods “Randy”, 64, of Tuscaloosa, AL, passed away April 23, 2020, at Hospice of West Alabama in Tuscaloosa, Alabama at 10:20 p.m., with his family and best friend, Gwen Narramore at his side, after fighting a courageous battle of cancer. Born, December 5, 1955, in Guin, AL by the late Bank Woods and Thelma Rye.
Randy is survived by his daughter, Ashley Brownlee (Buck Collins) of Columbus, MS; Sons Kevin Beasley and Keith Beasley of Winfield, AL, Chris Beasley (Heather) of Niceville, FL, and Colby Glasgow of Fayette, AL. Sisters Kathy (Jackie) Harris of Vernon, AL, Lisa (Rodney) Ruby of Sulligent, AL, and Angie (Michael) Downey of Sulligent, AL. Eight grandchildren; and a host of cousins and friends whom he considered family.
Randy worked as a heavy equipment operator for Southern Civil Contractors out of Tuscaloosa, AL, but was forced to give up his career that he loved due to his health. He was an amazing pool shark who loved to pay the game at his favorite place “Scooters”. Music, laughter, and a cold Budweiser soothed his soul. Randy was a friend to everyone and never met a stranger.
The family would especially like to thank Larry Dunn, Aubrey Nichols, Jeanette Walters, Ken Kelley, and Terrell Watson, resident caretakers, before moving to inpatient hospice, for their loving care and friendship; the staff at DCH Cancer Center (Dr. Tucker, Nurse Ashley, and Social Worker Bernice) for their attentive treatment; Hospice of West Alabama (Nurses- Yvonne, Sandy, Michael, Ashley, and Teresa) for their constant loving care during his final days and last but not least his Scooters Family for the love and friendship throughout his journey.
In lieu of flowers, please send a donation to Hospice of West Alabama in honor of Randy Woods.
Randy will be cremated. A celebration of life will be held when COVID19 restrictions have been lifted.
Compassionate, sympathetic, and professional service has been entrusted to the hands and care of the Northport Funeral & Cremation Service Professional Team.
