Northport Funeral & Cremation Service family extends our warmest condolences and heartfelt sympathies to the family of Mr. Rickey Griffin.

Ricky Griffin, age 72, passed away on February 10, 2022, at DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

Ricky was drafted into service for his country at the age of 18. He serviced for 3 years in Vietnam, he received a Bronze Star and many more accommodations. Ricky later worked for the Department of Defense for 20 years to continue serving his country.

Ricky believed in God, his family and Country. He had a beautiful heard and lots of love for his family.

Ricky was preceded in death by his parents, Marshall and Helen Johnson Griffin, and his brothers, Jerry and Steve Griffin.

Ricky leaves behind his wife, Cassandra L. Griffin; son, Scotty (Stephanie) Griffin; stepdaughter, Terry H. Haines; Stepsons: DeWayne (Margaret) Hill and Michael Hill. He also leaves his siblings: Barbara (Robert) Hester, Sandra Thomas, Tina Harry, Brady Griffin, and David Griffin. His grandchildren: Kyndall, Scotlyn, and Dax. As well as a host of step grandchildren, step great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Northport Free Will Baptist Church. Alberta Baptist Church, or Hope City Church.

Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 19, 2022 at 11 AM at Northport Free Will Baptist Church (2401 Lurleen B Wallace Blvd, Northport 35476).

Compassionate, sympathetic, and professional service has been entrusted to the hands and care of the Northport Funeral & Cremation Service Professional Team.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all attendees of services and visitations are required to wear a mask and attempt to maintain 6ft social distancing.
