Roger Dennis Hutchinson passed away peacefully in his home on March 29, 2024, after a brief discovery of liver cancer. He was born on September 17, 1949, to Clarence and Anita (Pelletier) Hutchinson of Old Town, Maine. Shortly after graduation from Old Town High School in 1968, he joined the Air Force and was stationed at Shaw Air Force Base in South Carolina as an Aerial Photographer until he left the service after 4 years. Moving to Alabama he took the Civil Service exam for the postal service, retiring after 37 years. He is survived by his husband of 39 years Gary Turner, sister Nancy and husband David Cozzi, brother Lawrence and wife Ann and sister in-law Luane Hutchinson. He is predeceased by his sister Marylyn O'Clair, and his brother Clarence Hutchinson and many nieces and nephews. Notably, Roger passed away on "Good Friday" as did his father many years ago. Roger was a kind soul that deeply loved his family, friends and beloved pets. He will be missed greatly.
A Celebration of Life will be held in The Overlook at Indian Hills (1650 McFarland N Blvd Tuscaloosa, AL 35406) on Thursday, April 4th, 2024, from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to your favorite animal shelter.
