Mrs. Debra D. Patton

The Northport Funeral & Cremation Service family extends our deepest condolences and heartfelt sympathies to the family and friends of Mrs. Debra D. Patton.

Debra Denise Patton, 69, of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, peacefully entered eternal rest on May 13, 2026, at DCH Regional Medical Center, surrounded by the love and prayers of her family. Debra was born on September 10, 1956, in Fayette, Alabama, to the late Willie Clarence Smith and Bernice Daniels. At an early age, she accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior, a faith that remained the foundation of her life.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Steven Daniels and Willie “Tootie” Smith, her sister, Shelia Ann Smith, and Ardene Titus.

On August 4, 1978, Debra married Keith William Patton, the love of her life and devoted husband. Together, they built a life centered around love, faith, and family, raising four children who were her greatest pride and joy: Melissa (Daniel) Cleveland of Montgomery, Alabama; Samir (Sandi) Patton of Northport, Alabama; Patrice (Tristan) Felton of Tuscaloosa, Alabama; and Cassius (DeAndria) Patton of Moundville, Alabama.

Debra’s heart overflowed with love for her grandchildren, who brought endless happiness to her life. She cherished every moment spent with Christian (Kiya) Savage of Fort Walton Beach, Florida; Colby Savage of Tucson, Arizona; Issac Cleveland of Montgomery, Alabama; ReOnna and AdeOnna Zacharias of Northport, Alabama; Tristan Jr, TraLeah, Traycen, and Trenton Felton of Tuscaloosa, Alabama; and Journee and Kashton Patton of Moundville, Alabama. Her love extended even further to her precious great-grandchildren, Kyli Reva and Kyro Savage of Fort Walton Beach, Florida, and BJ and Kross of Northport, Alabama, who filled her heart with immeasurable joy.

She also leaves to cherish her memory her loving sisters, Joyce Shriteh of Longbeach, California; Valerie (Jerry) Nalls of Fayette, Alabama; Robbie Smith of Jacksonville, Florida; Sharon (Charles) Anderson of Huntsville, Alabama; Sherry Patton Gibbs of Tuscaloosa, Alabama; Essie (Frank) Whitson of Winfield, Alabama; and Sarah West of Fayette, Alabama; along with her brothers, Earlie Poe Fayette, Alabama; Jeremy Smith of Winfield, Alabama, and Jason Smith of Jacksonville, Florida.

Debra was the heart of her family — a woman whose kindness, strength, and unconditional love touched everyone blessed to know her. She treasured family gatherings, laughter shared around the table, and the simple joy of being surrounded by those she loved most. Her nurturing spirit, warm smile, and gentle presence will be deeply missed but forever remembered. Debra was truly a Proverb 31 woman.

She leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will continue to honor her legacy of love, compassion, and devotion to family.
