Robbie Lynn Vickery Beeler went to her heavenly home there to be forever in the presence of her Lord, Wednesday, September 21, 2022.
Born October 25, 1953, in Winfield, Alabama, she was a daughter of the late Robert Michael Vickery and Lorene Mills Vickery. She received a Bachelor of Science in Speech Pathology from Mississippi University for Women and a Masters Degree in Early Childhood Special Education from The University of Alabama. Her teaching career spanned thirty one years in Special Education beginning in Magnolia, Arkansas for the Verbie Graney CARC as a speech therapist. The remainder of her career was with The Rise Program and Tuscaloosa City Schools teaching pre-K Special Needs classrooms. She was was named the Tuscaloosa City Schools Elementary Teacher of the Year (2010), the Tuscaloosa City Schools Special Education PreK Teacher of the Year (2008), received her National Board of Professional Teaching Standards Certification (2008), and was a Clinical Master Teacher with The University of Alabama ( 2007 -2018).
She was married for forty five years to her husband Mark F Beeler. They are parents of three children: Sarah Beeler Golden ( Barrett), Daniel Mark Beeler (Amelia) and Emma Grace Beeler.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother Jerry Monroe Mills. Left to grieve her loss are her sister Micha Vickery Gryder, Ocean Springs, Mississippi, niece Garlyn Micha Gryder, New Orleans, Louisiana; uncle Ray Lee Mills, Northport, Alabama; grandchildren, Harper Faith Golden, Henry Tucker (Hank) Golden, Huck William Golden all of Platte City, Missouri; Houston Robert Beeler, Harrison Bodhi Beeler, June Harvey Lynn Beeler all of Gadsden, Alabama.
A Celebration of Life will be held at North River Church, 4215 Rice Mine Road, Tuscaloosa, Al on November 19, visitation from 10:00-12:00 with the service immediately following the visitation. The service will also be live streamed on North River Church’s Facebook page.
