The Northport Funeral & Cremation Service family extends our warmest condolences and heartfelt sympathies to the family of Mrs. Sara Jo Warren Gross, who passed away on Saturday, February 28, 2026, in Greensboro, AL.
Mrs. Sara Jo went to her eternal home on February 28, 2026, after a long illness. She was a faithful servant to her Lord. She faithfully taught Youth Sunday School for many years at Greensboro Baptist Church. She was a prayer warrior who prayed daily for her children and grandchildren. Sara Jo loved having her grandchildren spend the night and teaching them about Jesus. Her home was always open, and Sunday lunch was ready for anyone who wanted to come. She was joyful and a blessing to be around. She worked as a paraprofessional in the Special Education classroom and also drove a school bus. She loved serving the children she worked with. She will be deeply missed, but her legacy of faith, ove and devotion to family will live on through those she leaves behind.
She is preceded in death by her son, Tray Gross; her Parents, Jack & Aileen Warren; Brother & Sister n Law, Fred & Ann Warren; Brother, Jack Warren; her in-laws, Traylor & Fredricka Gross; and her brother-in-law, Monroe Gross.
She is survived by her Husband of 59 Years, Tommy Gross; Daughter, Charmian (Elwin) Crawford, Daughter in law, Kristi Gross; and her beloved grandchildren, Chandler Gross, Brantley, Bailey, Bentley (Taylor), Barkley, Briley, Bradley, Baxley, and Blakeley Crawford. She also survived by her great-grandchildren, Wesley Crawfor, her sister-in-law & brother-in-law, Rita (Jim) Chancellor, sister-in-law, Adelia Warren; and many cherished nephews, nieces & cousins.
Mrs. Sara Jo Warren Gross will be having a Celebration of Life on Friday, March 6, 2026, at 6:00 PM at the Greensboro Baptist Church in Greensboro, AL. Brother Bobby (Greensboro, AL) will be officiating.
