A Celebration of Life for Mrs. Vicky L. Barner

Vicky L. Barner (Shuttlesworth), born to Henry and Bertha Shuttlesworth January 15, 1973 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, age 51 passed away peacefully, Friday afternoon, June 28, 2024 at the Helen Haun Hospice facility after battling metastatic cancer. 

Vicky was not only a devoted wife, mother, sister, and friend, she was a devoted grandmother “Mimi” to her precious grandchildren whom she loved with all of her heart. 

She is survived by her loving husband of 10 years, Timothy W. Barner, her son Paul L. Hartman (Bayli Burns), her daughter Rachel N. Maddison (Chad Hubbard), sister Ann Hallum ( Brad Weaver), her three grandsons, Jackson W. Hubbard, Joseph D. Hubbard, Michael L. Hartman, and unborn granddaughter, Millie A. Hartman. 

Vicky is preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Bertha Shuttlesworth and sister, Tammy Simpkins (Shuttlesworth). 

Vicky shared her love and infectious laughter with everyone she knew. She lived life to the fullest with simple pleasures; chatting with friends, spending time with her loved ones, and enjoying every second she spent with her grandsons, playing and watching their favorite shows. 

Family and friends, you are invited to Northport Funeral and Cremations Services on Tuesday, July 30, 2024 from 3:00p.m. - 5:00p.m. (5404 watermelon Rd, Northport, Al 35473) to reminisce, grieve, and celebrate her beautiful life and all of the love she shared. 

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday July 31, 2024 at Mount Zion Baptist Church at 11:00a.m.
