Northport Funeral & Cremation Service announces with deepest sympathy the passing of Ms. Blanche Sherrod Richey of Columbus, MS formally of Pickensville, AL on Friday, March 21, 2014 at her residence. Funeral services will be held Friday, March 28, 2014 at St. John Missionary Baptist Church Highway 16421 Highway 14 Pickensville, AL at 1pm Rev. Henry Lee Williams, Jr, Pastor with Rev. Frank Kennedy, Sr. officiating. The body will lie in state 1 hour prior to service at the church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. A public viewing will be at Northport Funeral & Cremation Service Chapel on Thursday, March 27, 2014 from 12pm to 5pm. Survivors includes five sons; Leonard Richey of Pickensville, AL, Jeffery (Margret ) Richey of Lloyd Harbor, NY, Steve Richey of Columbus, MS, Anthony (Audrey) Richey and Robin (Janet) Richey of Bourbonnais, IL, five sisters; Orlean Kelly, Bernice Williams, Patricia (James) Williams of Pickens County, Alabama, Betty (Henry) Hinton and Catherine (Willie) Smith of Uniondale, NY, one brother; Tommy Lee Sherrod, seven grandchildren; Kelvin, Austin, Robin Jr., Lionel, Mia, Alexis and Shanna Richey and Tina Latham, five great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Flowers can be delivered to Northport Funeral & Cremation Service from 9:30am through 5pm on Thursday, March 27, 2014. Northport Funeral & Cremation Service will be in charge of all arrangements.
