Bobbie Joe Poe, age 79, of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, passed away peacefully on May 21, 2026. She was born on December 26, 1946, in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

Bobbie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She loved her family deeply and found great joy in spending time with those she loved most. Her kindness, strength, and caring spirit will be remembered by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ida Mae Dunn and Elzie Dunn; her brother, Jack Dunn; and her beloved husband, Emmerce Carlton Poe, affectionately known as Sonny.

She is survived by her brother, Mickey Dunn (Penny Dunn); her son, Dustin Poe (Nikki Poe); and their children, Brooklynn Mae, Cassidy Poe (Grant Kyser), along with their daughter, Emersyn Kyser; Gunnar Poe and his daughter, Eleanor Poe; Alexis Poe; and Juliauna Poe. She is also survived by her son, Michael Poe, and his children: Christopher Poe (Micah Kuykendall), Kalea Monroe (Christopher Monroe), and Robby Poe (Emily Poe), along with their children, Willow Poe and Weston Poe.

Pallbearers will be Mike Poe, Chris Poe, Robby Poe, Chris Monroe, Dustin Poe, and Gunnar Poe.

A graveside service honoring Bobbie’s life will be held at Evergreen Cemetery, located at 16503 US-11, Vance, AL 35490, at 3:00 PM on May 28, 2026.

Bobbie’s love for her family and the memories she created with them will live on forever in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
