Northport Funeral & Cremation Service family extends our warmest condolences and heartfelt sympathies to the family of Ms. Dana Canida. Ms. Canida passed away on Wednesday, August 14, 2024, in Tuscaloosa, AL. 

Dana Marie Canida, 53, of Tuscaloosa, Al passed away on August 14, 2024, at DCH in Tuscaloosa, Al. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 16, 2024, from 6:00pm - 7:00pm at Northport Funeral & Cremation Service Chapel in Northport, AL. Funeral service for Ms. Canida will begin at 7:00pm.  Mr. CM Langford will be the officiating clergy. 

Dana was born August 28, 1970, to James Canida and Teresa Hall. She is preceded in death by her father James Canida; stepmother Donna Canida; niece Kelsey Hunnicutt; grandparents Clifford & Helen Canida and Maurice & Ruth Ertle. 

Dana went to her heavenly home on August 15, 2024. She had been sick for several years. She loved Alabama football and loved listening and watching the waves roll in at the beach. She had 2 loving children Haley & Cody, and a grandbaby on the way.

Pallbearers will be George Hunnicutt, Clay O'Bryant, George Hunnicutt Jr., Brian Hunnicutt, Austen Price, Trip Hunnicutt, Cooper Hunnicutt, Cameron Hunnicutt and Chris Plowman.

Honorary pallbearers will be MICU @ DCH, Dr. Palmer and Dr. Andrew Harrell. 

In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to Alabama One Credit Union. 

Dana is survived by her children Haley Hall(Andrew) and Cody Burt(Bridgett); mother Teresa Hall; sisters Denise Hunnicutt(George), Jaime Price (Clay) and Candi Canida.
