Ms. Hannah passed away on Wednesday, February 28, 2024, at Hospice of West Alabama surrounded by loved ones.
She was born to Elmer and Mary Etta Gates on October 29, 1933, in Grove Hill, Alabama. After moving to Tuscaloosa, she began her career of taking care of others while working at Bryce Hospital, Partlow Hospital and Heritage Nursing Home. Once retired, she enjoyed spending her time tending to her flowers and spoiling her family with delicious home cooked meals. She cherished many pets throughout her life. Above all else, she loved caring for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Ms. Etta Ree Hannah will be profoundly missed but will continue to live in our hearts.
Ms. Hannah was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her daughters, Linda Farmer, Angela Coleman and Sherrie (Jerry) Garrison, and her son, Larry (Joan) Coleman. She is also survived by her grandchildren Carol (Vince) Chaires, Bryan (April) Coleman, Matt Coleman, Erin Coleman, Denton Garrison, as well as her great-grandchild Cole Chaires.
Services will be announced at a late date.
