Mrs. Gracie Mae Peoples

The Northport Funeral & Cremation Service family extends our deepest condolences and heartfelt sympathies to the family and friends of Mrs. Gracie Peoples, who passed away on August 11, 2026, in Columbus, Mississippi. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, William and Willie Priest; Martha Hamilton; Edna Hood; Michelle Ann; and her brother, George Priest.

She is survived by her husband, Riley Peoples; her daughters, Wanda Hamilton (Columbus, MS), Vickie Hamilton, Elissia Hood (Aliceville), Etonya Hood (Atlanta, GA), Lavanda Hood (Columbus, MS); her two sons, Harvey Hamilton (Atlanta, GA), and Bobby Hamilton (Northport, AL); and a host of grandchildren.

Visitation will be Friday, August 21, 2026, from 10:00 a.m until 2:00 p.m. at 505 1st Avenue West, Reform, Alabama 35481. Services will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. at New Salem Baptist Church located at Unity Cemetery Rd, 35442. Mrs Gracie Peoples will lie in state 1 hour prior to the service. Burial & balloon release will follow at New Cemetery located at 196 Valley View Rd, Aliceville, AL 35442.
