Northport Funeral & Cremation Service family extends our warmest condolences and heartfelt sympathies to the family of Mrs. Jessie Louise Pruitt. Mrs. Pruitt passed away on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, in Tuscaloosa, AL.

Mrs. Pruitt was Preceded by her father, Preston (President) Singleton, mother, Martha (Mayfield) Rogers, brothers, Willie James Singleton, and Floyd Singleton. Survivors include her sons, Michael F. Hayes and Keith Anthony Hayes, and sister, Georgia Ann Singleton.

Jessie Louise Singleton Pruitt was born on July 18, 1930. She is the third of four children born to the late Preston (President) Singleton and Martha (Mayfield) Rogers of Northport, Alabama. Lovingly devoted to her family and church community, Jessie went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday night, August 6, 2025, surrounded by family. Jessie had a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, friends and family. 

Pallbearers will be, Jibrail Hayes, Moctavius Demonbreum, William Norwood, Sr., William Norwood, Jr., Jerome Bennett, and Jimmy Cooper.

Honorary Pallbearers will be, Richard Morse, Greg Singleton, Late Mrs. Carolyn Woods and Hospice of West Alabama.

Visitation for Mrs. Pruitt will be August 13, 2025 at Northport Funeral & Cremation Service Chapel in Northport, AL., from 12:00 PM - 5:00 PM. Service for Mrs. Pruitt will be August 14, 2025 at New Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Northport, AL., at 11:00 AM. Mrs. Pruitt will lie in state one hour prior. Burial will follow at West Highlands Cemetery in Tuscaloosa, AL.
