Lelia Frances Bush passed away at home surrounded by family on August 17, 2023 at the age of 80. She was born in Tuskegee, Al. on August 17, 1943, and has been a long time resident of Tuscaloosa. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.
She is survived by her daughters, Letitia Bush, Tammy Daigle, Shannon Mitchell, her sons Howard Bush, Jr., Ricky Bishop (Diane Bishop), Robert Bush (Christy Bush), 15 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, in-laws and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Bush, her parents Cabot and Jewel Holman, her sister, Patricia Jordan, her brothers James and Jerrell Holman, and her mother and father in law, Robert and Bertha Bush.
Pallbearers will be Paul Graves, Brandon Bishop, Shaun Pfiffner, Blake Bishop, Derrick Gibson, Christian Bishop, and Joshua Tinker. Honorary pallbearers are Clyde Tinker, Kyle Daigle, Brad Graves, Michael Bush, JC Penneys, and Amedisys Hospice.
A graveside service will be on Wednesday, August 23, 2023, at 10 a.m. for family and friends at Coker Cemetery in Coker, Al.
The family would like to thank the staff of Amedisys Hospice for for their love and compassion during her prolonged illness.
