Mr. Ricky Giles

Northport Funeral & Cremation Service family extends our warmest condolences and heartfelt sympathies to the family of Mr. Ricky Giles, who passed away on Tuesday, September 02, 2025, in Columbus, MS.

Ricky Lee Giles was born on December 1, 1961 to the late Sister Frances Jean Giles & Exie Lee Giles. Ricky was a well-known, talented and respected son, father, brother, grandfather, uncle & friend. He had a passion for going fishing with his children, grandchildren, family & friends. He was known for telling funny jokes, making people smile, and helping others as much as possible. Ricky was a "Jack of all trades." There was nothing that he couldn't handle or fix. Everyone that knew him, knew he was " The Life of the Party".

He was preceded in death by his mother, Sister Frances Jean Giles & father, Exie Lee Giles, both his maternal and paternal grandparents, one brother Terry Lee Cox & two sons DeKendrick DaShawn Simmons & Rick James Young.

Sadly, he was called home at the age of 63 on September 2, 2025 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Columbus, Mississippi.

He leaves to cherish his memories: a loving devoted wife Sandra Giles; his children: Renada Young of Tuscaloosa, AL, Kamonica Giles of Reform, AL, Capri Giles of Reform, AL, LaPrecious Peck of Gordo, Al, Avacious Peck of Gordo, AL, Jermesha Simmons of Reform, AL and Marquis Giles of Reform, AL, three-step children Swanseller Noland of Gordo, Al, Syreeta ( Christopher) Cunningham of Reform, AL, and La'Kisha Peck of Tuscaloosa, AL, Seven brothers: Joe Lee Giles of Vernon, AL, Jessie (Catherine) Giles, Henry (Rosie) Giles, O.C. Giles Giles, Jerome Giles, and Malcolm (Pam) Giles all of Reform, AL & Michael Jackson. Six Sisters, Mary (Enis) Lee, Sonya Giles, Annie Faye Giles, and Marilyn Giles all of Reform, AL and Yvette Jackson of Springfield, Massachusetts and Valeria Hulton of Millport, AL. 22 Grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives & friends.

Visitation will be held Friday, September 12, 2025 with family viewing from 12-1pm. The public viewing will be held from 1-5 at the Reform Location, 505 1st Avenue West, Reform Alabama 35481. The funeral will take place Saturday, September 13, 2025 at 11am, with Mr. Giles lying in state one hour prior at 10am at Pickens County High School. The burial will take place after at Unity Grove Cemetery.
