Mrs. Rosie McDougle

Northport Funeral & Cremation Service family extends our warmest condolences and heartfelt sympathies to the family of Mrs. Rosie McDougle, who passed away on Monday, October 6, 2025, in Reform, AL.

District Elder Rosie L. McDougle was born January 20, 1945 to the late Bro. Tollie and Mattie Ruth Hurst. She is preceded in death by her husband, Bro. Arlester McDougle; Tollie Hurst Jr., Jake Hurst, Otis Hurst, Bertha Moe Hurst and little sister.

District Elder Rosie McDougle gave her life to Christ in 1975. She was a Holy Ghost filled woman and believed in living right. She joined the Bethlehem Independent Freewill Pentecostal Church under the leadership of Elder Katie B. Summerville and served faithfully until she was no longer able under the leadership of Pastor Linda D. Prude.

Elder McDougle served faithfully as Superintendent at Bethlehem and in the conference, she served as the conference District Sunday School Superintendent, the National Missionary, Evengelist, and the Lord exalted her to District Elder of the conference.

She leaves to cherish her memories: 2 sons; Curtis (Daisy) McDougle and Lester H. McDougle. One daughter; Felicia McDougle. 5 sisters; Mary Hurst, Anna (Larry) Walters, Hassie Hurst, Doll (Anthony) Carroll and Martha Hurst. 3 brothers; Floyd Hurst, Ben Hurst and Cleveland Hurst. 4 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, a godson Tyler Hudgins, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

Mrs. McDougle service will take place Saturday, October 18, 2025, at 1:00 PM, at New Zion Independent Freewill Pentecostal Church. Mrs. McDougle will lie in state for one hour prior. Burial to follow at McCrary Cemetery.
